The Val Kinzler Band (VKB) is comprised of veteran rockers supporting Val with a strong passion for creating inspirational and original music. The talent, chemistry and diverse, creative impact of these players has evolved impressively since the band formed in 2013. As feisty weeds push their way through the cracks in the graffiti stained pavement of NYC's Lower East Side, The VKB has risen to the calling of their desire to empower others with their driven and gutsy sound. Influences from roots, punk, soul, rockabilly, and Motown are snugly tied together with the twine of our times. Val is a native New Yorker who plays piano, organ and guitar. Known for her bluesy, powerful vocal style, and energetic stage presence, she is a prolific songwriter. “Nothing Sacred about Hatred” is her third CD, following “Resume”, produced by Larry Russell, and “East Third Street”, produced by Genya Ravan. Joe Vasta on bass and backing vocals is the producer of VKB's forthcoming CD "Nothing Sacred About Hatred." He was guest bassist on 2015 Rock N' Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Joan Jett's recent Unvarnished CD. He was also a member of and recorded with, "Mink DeVille" John Waite, Billy Idol, Helen Wheels, D L Byron and others. His unique downstroke bass style and precise musicianship has made him one of rock's most highly revered players. David White's inventive and dynamic guitar playing provides the golden thread that ties together the varied influences in the well crafted songs. David and Val met while backing "King Bee & The Stingers" aka Buddy Bowser. David played on some demos for Val via the Recording Artist Development after Val won first place in their Singer Songwriter Contest. David has also played with The Hollies/ Devil's Blues and has his own band with the talented Chris Robison of (Elephant's Memory) "Stumblebunny." Jon Ihle's (Ihle Factor) versatile and expressive drumming gives VKB a rock solid foundation that inspires audiences dancing and emoting to universal themes infused with infectious melodic hooks. Jon's main influences stem from 70's progressive rock such as King Crimson, Yes, Renaissance, Gentle Giant, and Emerson Lake and Palmer. He also is a songwriter, guitar, and bass player. He also performs with Ian Lloyd (Brother Louie). VKB's debut record "Nothing Sacred About Hatred" (Tate Music Group) will be released this Summer. Visit www.valkinzler.com and click the "listen" page to preview these tracks! Stay tuned for more details about this band's exciting journey into the hearts of music lovers everywhere!
